A weekend at One To One Resort at Al Faida was a combination of excellent location, wonderful evening breeze even in the heat of summer, and an outrageous retro trip to the Arabia of the late 70s! We loved it, you should try it.
If you are a long-time expat rat in the Middle East you will certainly connect to what I’m about to describe; however, if you’re still lettuce-fresh and a recent arrival, I will need to explain – read on!
Firstly, the location and the weather – Al Ain is one of the few cities in the Emirates that is not along the coast. Its fortunate location historically is rooted in the water springs that allowed a number of large and sustainable oases to flourish, nestled between the red sand dunes of the Rub al Khali desert (Empty Quarter) and the sharp mountains of Oman.
Ain Al Faida lies directly downstream of the natural hot springs at the foot of Jebel Hafeet, and the lakes are indeed fed by this constant flow of very valuable water.
The interior weather is much drier than the coast – extremely drier -and the temperature also drops dramatically in the evening, leaving residents to enjoy a humidity-free summer and fresh breezes in the evenings. The gardens of Al Faida have capitalized on this weather wonder.

We visited One To One Al Faida Resort at the wheel of a Range Rover Sport – in style!
The Range Rover’s smooth grip on tarmac is as excellent as its suave style. Everybody recognizes the Range Rover Sport as you glide past, unhurried, but at speed. Besides the formidable 5.0 liter V8 engine’s evident power (375hp for the naturally aspirated version, and an extravagant 510hp for the super-charged one!) it is the luxurious interior that crowns the Range Rover feel – you really melt into that car and it becomes part of your living experience: and with all the hours we spend in our cars every day, that’s definitely a good thing!
The One To One Resort in Al Faida is an ambitious rejuvenation of an old-style leisure development that capitalized on the area’s continuous water source from the nearby mountain, Jebel Hafeet. In many ways One To One has retained the essence of the original “1970s Arabia” feel of the place, and built on that foundation to present a fresh and energetic package of combined villa accommodations, exciting dining, and fantastic fresh-weather recreation for the entire family.
The rooms are spacious, and truly a home away from home.
The double villas can very easily accommodate large families, while the single villas make an excellent private hideaway for the weekending couple.
Dining al fresco in the outside seating is perhaps the One To One’s rose at the lapel – the evening breeze caresses you as you select from a tempting menu, and the views of Jebel Hafeet at sunset are calming to the spirit.
Several dining outlets cater to different clientele, and you will surely find a place just for you at One To One Al Faida.
