A lovely Friday brunch, with a very English soul – Porters Pub is a lively get-together of expats, where the classical watering-hole brings together Abu Dhabi’s finest for an afternoon of merries and a mouth-watering selection of deluxe pub food – just like back home, only more luxury!

It is hosted at one of Abu Dhabi’s fine five-star hotels, after all!

Still, no pretentiousness, casual smart dress code, and laughter is free for all!

The entrance is private and separate from the hotel, and the pub is downstairs.

You’re immediately greeted and set straight – you are entering Olde Blighty World here!

Every weekend is a reason to party, but Porters seems to pick up every occasion to celebrate – be it a league final match, or its own birthday!

Eight Years old, Porters! Congratulations!

Don’t worry if you’ve missed it… next Friday it’ll be Porters’ 8-and-one-week anniversary brunch, and the fun never ends!

Down the stairs is where the action is.

And soon you’re on main stage.

Porters is sprawled out on two levels, a bit like a western saloon, and seating in booths is all around the upper level.

No matter where you sit, you’re in the middle of proper pub atmosphere.

And the drinks flow with abandonment, as well as non-alcoholic options.

But then you notice the food, and that’s when you realize just what a treat you’re in for!

Because in Abu Dhabi we do things a little differently – yes, we love the pub, and the full-on pub experience which connects us to home, but at the same time we don’t mind a touch of pampering, us spoiled expats!
