A clever and nifty adaptation of the camping light, which I’d like to highlight for you.
You can buy it for a few dirham on Sela.ae, my new favorite online store, and it comes to you tightly packed, with its proud “Shark Tank” logo – which means it was chosen for its awesome potential on the popular TV show.
It’s extremely light, and extremely flat – and you wonder what the big deal is, and even if it will actually work as a lamp as advertised – but…
…open it up, inflate the lamp itself with a few breaths of air, and you understand the magic!
Super portable, light as air, and when inflated the light is fantastic.
You can charge it with USB, or with the sun.
So, this means it can be re-charged on the go outside – a big plus, and great versatility.
Surprisingly, the charge seems to last forever – but I later realized that’s because it’s continuously charging!
In fact, it trickle charges even in very low light. You’ll see the little red LED lit up when it’s charging.
And the solar panel is totally sealed and protected – I think it will be impossible to scratch, and even dropping it off the roof of a house would not damage it!
So what do you do with it?
Well, its applications are unlimited, really. Whenever it’s dark, and you want light, pop out the luminAID lamp!
It’s so bright that it even has 4 levels to lower the intensity – plus a flashing emergency setting.
And I haven’t been able to use up all the charge yet, even though I left it on for hours!
Add to that it’s flat-pack portability, and super-light weight, and you can really see how it is a most versatile light.
It hangs basically anywhere…
…even on a handy palm tree.
So, for the house, or camping, or just keep it in your car, and of course for emergency situations for which it was originally inspired, the luminAID lamp is a very clever next-generation solar-powered lamp for all sorts of uses.
