For a rockin’ start to your weekend, swing by Black Tap for breakfast and get going on the good foot!

Well-known for its funky interior and super-burgers, there’s a lot more going for Black Tap.

The entrance hits you right away as the place to be!

And consider that it is hosted as part of the Rixos Premium Hotel in JBR – so you’re looking at a five-star burger joint…

And the outside terrace points the way.

Besides the fun atmosphere reflected in the interior design, Black Tap offers an awesome new breakfast menu.

But what’s for breakfast?

We went for a trio of superstars – Eggs Benedict on avocado, Mexican-style potatoes, and a fluffy waffle!

And if that’s not enough to start your day right, then you’re beyond help already…

Ah! And coffee!

Excellent fresh brew, served piping hot. And super-smooth.

The details is where I go to showcase the quality of the food – and Black Tap is impeccable in both presentation and preparation.

Eggs just as I wanted them:

And that avocado was luscious in its creaminess, yet also cut with a slight lime, while also zested up with chili, but just ever so lightly, so the flavors lingered but didn’t overpower – a beautifully balanced dish.

And what’s that powdered spice? I want some in my kitchen!

It just brought the eggs alive.

But my favorite was the potatoes – yes, just plain potatoes… the humble tuber… but when you cook them just right, they’re magical!

Crispy crunchy on the outside, and soft and buttery on the inside – and then topped with a wicked citrusy salsa-ish combination of onions, corn niblets, tomatoes, and who knows what other miracle ingredients to make it totally delicious!

And the waffle was ideal end to round off this breakfast.

And that’s how you get the day started!

Black Tap put together a tip-top breakfast experience, but they do offer a lot more.

The night party crowd will also feel at home,

and then of course Black Tap is famous for their gourmet burgers!

And the most amazing Sundaes I have ever seen!

I even had to try a wild one with my waffle for breakfast!!!

And so Black Tap delivers a fun dining experience on many levels, and when you’re feeling for something special, but you’re not quite sure where to go – Black Tap should spring to mind!
