Nestled in prime location in Dubai Marina, Alloro is an Italian restaurant within the Wyndham Hotel.

The Iftar buffet was modest but it was interesting to sample a variety of dishes rather than the usual Arabian-only fare – at the same time, Alloro also offered regional favorites.

The restaurant itself has cozy corners and also an outdoor seating area.

The context of Ramadan was rendered in due detail, and the mood lighting helped preserve a respectful environment for breaking fast.

A good selection was provided as part of the buffet, with Arabian delicacies

including a delicious chicken shwarma, and an Arabian mixed grill.

as well as the Italian food representatives, such as a good rendition of beef lasagne,

and frittata slices with kale and pumpkin.

Among the desserts were a very creamy Tiramisu, and a delicious hazelnut mousse.

While it would be interesting to try also the a la carte offerings at Alloro, where the true Italian flavors can be highlighted, it was interesting to experience an Iftar different than normal.
