Indeed, taking a step back from the busiest and most traffic-intense strip by the coast opens up all sorts of possibilities to travel across metropolitan Dubai – plus the savings will be considerable.

Zooming in a little closer, into the community, Park Inn by Radisson Dubai Motor City is very cleverly embedded into the very fabric of the neighborhood.

Besides the shared underground parking with First Avenue Mall, if you just take the lift down from your room at the Park Inn, there is a secret door that connects you directly to the shopping area!

And so the convenience is exceptional, as within less than a minute you can go from your room to the mall – and the choice of restaurants is exceptional!

Imagine that, although Park Inn is an alcohol-free space, within a few steps you can join a swinging restaurant with bar, if that’s your vibe.

Although it is well-known within the restaurant business, it was interesting to see first-hand just how effective an alcohol serving license can be! As you open the door to Le Petit Belge, directly downstairs from your hotel, you go from quiet to full-on crowded pub!

Regardless, the mall has numerous restaurants and shops to suit all tastes, and the Park Inn is an integral part.

Zooming in even more, the Park Inn is a car enthusiast’s heaven!

In fact, it is overlooking turn 16 of the actual racetrack!

And I mean directly and perfectly giving direct line of sight – even better than the grandstands!

This is the actual view through your room window… facing west.

And from the Junior Suite, room 405, this would be your living room window!

And so, if you are lucky enough to be there during practice – or, time it well! – during one of the many scheduled race events, you will have the top VIP of VIP views from the comfort of your own suite!

And given Dubai’s intense love affair with fast and luxury cars, there really is no better way to experience this facet of Emirati culture: their love story with awesome cars.

In fact, during our stay, I was thrilled to view open-practice for amateurs, where basically any Dubai resident (visitor?) can race on track with their own car – and I can tell you the cars I saw making the rounds were the dreams of many car enthusiasts!

I even opened the double-glazed windows to hear the engines better, as they accelerated through the gears onto the straight!

No other hotel in Dubai, not even costing 10x more, can offer you such a thrill.

However, as noted at the beginning, the motorhead passion is just an added bonus at the Park Inn by Radisson Dubai Motor City – sure, the hotel sports decor and art related to motor racing, but it makes for a great staycation or business hotel in Dubai regardless.

You may admire the ceiling installation in the lobby, for instance…

… but actually check-in was professionally seamless and perfectly executed, even without the awesomeness of a real Ferrari mounted upside-down to the ceiling!

And the lobby is comfy, airy, and benefiting from marvelous natural light, even if you couldn’t see the racetrack out the windows or marvel at alloy racing rims as part of the decor.

And the breakfast was magnificent.

Called the Lazy Breakfast on the weekends, the good people at the Live Inn restaurant at Park Inn exceeded all expectations, with an outstanding breakfast combination of various buffet options plus an a la carte selection of waffles, omelettes, and other favorites.

And the quality was excellent!

Besides, the common areas of the hotel are lively and very well thought out, giving off pleasant and positive vibes.

Add a roof top swimming pool, a gym, and a professionally-run spa with all sorts of treatments and massages, and a few other corners of just “Nice!”…

… and the Park Inn by Radisson Dubai Motor City climbs up the happy-I-chose-this-hotel ladder very quickly!
