As you get to know what Flipside is all about, suddenly the name takes on a totally new significance… and it’s a very interesting twist!

While still not finalized in its ultimate guise, when you approach Flipside Restobar it seems like a regular, hip and modern, burger joint.

One might expect the now ubiquitous Wagyu sliders, or menus presenting the Great Horny Angus Burger… while the truth couldn’t be farther away!

The decor is fresh and catchy – and Flipside is a great hang-out place to meet up with friends.

Maybe shoot some pool over a few drinks and engaging conversation…

Or take the evening to the max by sitting in the wild corners!

Feel like a whispered heart-to-heart?

Or just enjoy the weather outdoors

But let’s get to the menu!

Extensive, and eclectic, and covering International, Indian, Chinese and Iranian favorites… but that’s not the surprise!

Flipside Restobar is in fact an alternative meats restaurant!

A fresh beetroot soup starts things off nicely…

But then the mains arrive… and…

Check this out: that’s not beef, not from cow, not from animal product…

Was it good?

Oh yeah!!!

It was incredible!

The tacos… vegetarian? Not quite – with meat, or, to be precise, with alternative meat…

Wow, was it delicious!

Crunchy and satisfying!

And the filling sans-meat was delicious!

Many many more options on the menu – in fact, perhaps too many! I didn’t get the chance to sample the Indian, Chinese, or Iranian dishes…

A great selection of healthy salads, too!

And a marvelous dessert… baked in-house…

… basically a super-soft bread with cream cheese, topped with the most decadent stickiest yummiest honey glaze!

All in all, for a walk-in who isn’t aware of the focus on alternative meats, Flipside is really going to flip their minds – but in a good way, because the production of these substitute meats has improved greatly and the good people at Flipside Restobar are able to play with them expertly, delivering dishes that certainly a match for the original meat versions.

And for the person who is actively seeking to reduce meat consumption, for health or ethical or even environmental reasons, or whatever, Flipside Restobar is a real godsend.
