The Dubai-style Friday brunch is epic, and a main feature of the expat lifestyle in the UAE.

“Around the World” brunch at Swissôtel Al Ghurair launched with a Swiss theme for its first weekend, and then we can expect a whirlwind tour of the culinary world for the season!

The authentic Swiss corner was in fact delectable – and no surprise for a five-star hotel named Swissôtel!

And the handmade care that went into the special preparations of regional Swiss favorites was heartfelt and sincere – unless you have a Swiss grandma, I very much doubt you will ever taste such traditional specialties as these!

But let’s instead start with the fantastic variety of delicious food that was presented as part of Around The World; because cosmopolitan Dubai represents over 200 cultures and being able to cater at a fine-dining level to all tastes and flavors is one of the main accomplishments of the Swissôtel Al Ghurair team – really world class.

Fiery live Mongolian grill, where you select the ingredients you fancy, and they are instantly flash-fired for you!

Contrasted with a super-delicious slow-cooked Sunday roast, featuring top-rack lamb chops, complete with Yorkshire pudding, thick gravy, fabulous roast potatoes, and grilled beets.

Other side of the world with fragrant Chinese dim sum morsels, freshly-made and steamed to juicy perfection in a traditional bamboo basket…

More Sunday Roast – this time roast beef and resplendent greens and peppers…

… and delicious hand-wrapped maki sushi!

International appetizers and cheeses,

and then a Swiss fondue trolley appears, and the world-famous Raclette cheese is melted onto your plate for you to sample!

The brunch is majestic also in ambiance – and the spacious halls, and outdoor terrace, combine with a great number of organized fun activities, especially but not only for children!

Drinks and desserts complement the brunch in style – and I especially single out the excellent espresso macchiato!

The desserts and sweets selection and variety were formidable indeed.

Overall, for a fantastic weekend brunch, at international high standard of excellence, with a unique theme, Around The World brunch at Swissôtel Al Ghurair was a true delight.
