… though not even that masterpiece of a creative yet perfect selection of a maki roll would do justice to the exquisite dining experience on offer!

In fact, Tokyo Bar & Grill simply ticks every box, and positions itself as Abu Dhabi’s premier Japanese restaurant for the following reasons:

The location is spectacular – directly on the waterfront of the Grand Canal, part of Venetian Village in the bustling Ritz-Carlton complex, and nestled behind Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

And with the good weather approaching, dining al fresco along the canal is an amazing experience.

Seriously, you could pull up in your boat for a snack.

The decor is fantastic – modern yet typical Japanese at the same time – with very intelligent use of space to create multiple seating options: a private interior alcove, a long sushi bar counter, a chill-out lounge that serves as both open/closed smoker’s space, and of course the waterfront seating, which is tucked away behind the building giving privacy at the same time as full exposure to the breeze and open water views.

Tokyo Grill & Bar serves with an engaging and respectful nod to Japanese traditions – see their glorious Miso soup bowl, and Gyoza box…

And they were most certainly freshly-made and steamed on the spot – extremely high quality and delicious!

And simple – yes, simple is best in Japanese cuisine; but it is incredibly complex to achieve gourmet simplicity.

Actually, the attention to detail and care that went into the preparation of each dish was superlative – and the results were impressive in all regards: freshness, texture, flavor, and presentation!

Simply put, every single dish was a masterpiece!

Tokyo Grill & Bar is also fully-licensed, and presents quite a few unique beverage concoctions, including dramatic non-alcoholic selections.

And lastly, I’ll signal also the warm welcome and professional friendly good-nature of the staff, headed by the manager Ms Jone Bravo, who was effortlessly charming, and clearly a consummate hospitality executive.

All together the sum of all these details gelled to create a precious and unique equilibrium – a fantastic synergy which combined into an epic swirl of awesomeness, and which transferred directly to the feeling of their honored guests.

It was truly a marvelous dining experience at Tokyo Grill & Bar… all the way to dessert!
