This year weekenduae celebrates its 10th year anniversary of recommending fantastic ideas for weekends in the UAE – and we just visited what must be the most entertaining and exciting brunch of all those ten years…

Yes, Meshico Brunch is at the top of the fun brunches in Dubai!

First of all, what makes a brunch fantastic?

Well, Dubai is the world capital of fancy brunches, so we have a lot of experience in regard!

The venue must be glamorous.

Not necessarily luxurious – diamond chandeliers and ice sculptures are nice, sure, but I mean elegant as in classy; and dignified, representative of a cultured get-together on the weekend, to unwind from the workweek and meet up with family and friends – a pleasantly decorated and well appointed dining hall: just like at Meshico.

Except Meshico gains bonus points – because not only is it sophisticated, but it is also distinguished because it represents the culture of a civilization and nation thousands of miles away; and in a sense Meshico serves as the culinary ambassador to Mexico in UAE!

Secondly, a brunch must be entertaining – it is not only an opulent late breakfast or lunch – it must be fun!

And lively, and exciting, and engaging, and have live music, or performers, or dancing, or…

Meshico and the fun-loving staff hit this one out of the ball park!

The sheer enjoyment and celebrations that are an integral part of the Latin American cultures are famous and unique worldwide – there is no party like a Mexican party!

And at Meshico you are part of the action; or an active, clapping part of the audience, if you prefer.

And I’m not talking about a microphone on a stand in the corner, taped music, and a lonely singer… Meshico had troupes of performers, act after act, in full dress, and at a professional level – it was totally amazing, and second to none in Dubai.

Seriously, the performances could have been on a stage at a theater soirée, not while dining at a restaurant…

And also because my next focus, and possibly the most important part of an exceptional brunch, is of course the food!

And Meshico was exceptional…

Besides the fact that authentic Mexican food is incredibly delicious, even touching your heart with its sincerity of natural ingredients, flavors, and aromas; Meshico delivered an excellent selection of dishes.

In the photo above see how many varieties of tacos were presented at the table, and below look closer at how juicy and delectable they were:

So good that you could cancel the music, remove the decorations, even close the restaurant and sit us in a parking lot with those delicious tacos and we would have said it was a fabulous brunch…

That’s really how good it was.

Presentation was also phenomenal – with the quesadillas even requiring the application of a blowtorch to get the cheese just right!

And every course brought something special to the table with it…

And then of course a good brunch requires a choice of brunch packages, including unlimited beverages for those who wish to partake.

Meshico brunch comes in Silver, Gold, and Platinum levels, and the menu changes every weekend.

Meshico’s bar was fully-stocked, in true Mexican fashion, and the drinks were mixed with great balance and aroma – an excellent selection of margaritas and cervezas…

And when all these brunch component parts come together as one, with the addition of the friendly service staff’s care and attention, you have what is a superlative Dubai brunch…

…and then the Meshico dessert tower appears and you are taken momentarily out of this world!

Fresh exotic fruits, traditional Mexican cakes, and the world-famous chocolate dipped churro!
