Wow! Wow! Wow!
And as I sneak-peaked at the people seated behind me, hundreds of mouths were shaped in Wows!
Indeed Cirque Du Soleil put on a wow performance at Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai, and really you must stop whatever you’re doing, and just get tickets booked…
The world’s leading circus troupe, Cirque Du Soleil is not to be missed – not now, not ever.
Besides the pure awe felt by the audience at the marvelous acrobatic feats, the Cirque has actually created an entire imaginary universe, where it spins a story through charming and intriguing characters – so this is much more than what one may imagine a ‘circus’ to be.
The show plays host to an array of unique and enchanting characters, all of which showcase different sectors of the insect world, from community leaders, to outsiders, lone bugs and many more, aiding the audiences journey through their world.
The show is brought to life by the acrobats and sports professionals who take to the stage and seemingly defy gravity, as insects would, floating through the performance space and bewitching audiences.
Consider that Cirque Du Soleil has nearly 4,000 employees, with 1,300 talented and creative artists who come from more than 50 different countries around the world. The company has inspired and brought magic to over 180 million people in over 400 cities.
“OVO” performers travel with over 1,000 pieces of creative costume, from shoes, head pieces, wings and more, transforming the stars into magical insects; while the flying, leaping and riveting of the performers is set to the moving ‘music of Brazil’, and the background sets are inspired by colonies and nests built by insects, with over 225 panels making up the awe-inspiring backdrop for the epic show at Coca-Cola Arena.
Besides, any excuse to go to Coca-Cola Arena is a good one – always a fun day or night out, this is the beating heart of Dubai’s lively performance arts scene.
However, the public car park attendants are so much better organized at collecting the fees than avoiding traffic jams at time to exit, so it’s better to take the metro, where you’ll find Dubai Mall/Burj Khalifa Metro Station just a few minutes walk away.
OVO by Cirque Du Soleil is on only until January 18th included – you must act now!
