Newly opened and already rocking the Abu Dhabi seafood scene, The Catch Seafood Grill is a happy little place nestled down by the corniche – where seafood and meat lovers match!

Not to be confused with the other Catch, the Catch Seafood Grill offers a treat for all, from the best value meals to platters (well, buckets, actually!) of delicacies.

And in a very clever strategy, The Catch Seafood Grill also surprises with succulent meat dishes – second to none, and assuring that absolutely every guest leaves the restaurant full and smiling.

The centrepiece of the expansive menu are the seafood special offers and combos, and you’d be wise to start building your feast with these!

In a nutshell (crabshell!!), the spacious table is covered with food-grade paper, and your choice of seafood mix is poured directly in front of you, piping hot – and, gloves and apron provided, and you just dive into the gastronomical gifts from the sea!

Rice and other sides are added, and let the feast begin!

The sauce is tasty, but not over-powering – and pretty soon hands are flying, and your fingers had better be quick and nimble!

Although, to be fair, the combo for two people was abundant, and we didn’t really have to fight for the best bits – in fact, we had plenty of delicious food on our table as the combo came with more.

Included in the combo was a massive serving of BBQ beef rib – perfectly marinated, cooked to melt-in-your-mouth perfection, and slathered with a winning BBQ sauce.

The portion size was really massive!

And if that balance between juicy seafood and glazed BBQ rib wasn’t enough to satisfy… incredibly, the combo also included a generous serving of the crispiest fried chicken ever!

A great value, you really must come to The Catch Seafood Grill hungry…

And all was yummy!

The chicken (and the beef) could have rivaled the name of the establishment, and it could fairly have been named The Catch Chicken Grill – or The Catch BBQ Beef Ribs Grill… just look at the perfection of crispiness, and that creamy sauce!

In fact, look closer again at this masterpiece – deep-fried, but so light and totally grease-free: the good people in The Catch Seafood Grill kitchen have truly mastered their recipes!

And there is more!

Filipino-owned, so we had to try a traditional dish, as impressed as we were – and a sizzling sisig came to order, available in either a dual combination of chicken and beef, or monkfish.

Very delicious!

And so we found out that you really can’t go wrong at The Catch Seafood Grill – you could close your eyes and randomly point at anything on the menu, and deliciousness will come to you.

And that means all the way to dessert!

Overall, an impressive debut for The Catch Seafood Grill in Abu Dhabi, where, believe me, it is not easy to launch a seafood restaurant, given the intense competition – but, lessons learned from their first and original venue in Dubai have given The Catch Seafood Grill a solid foundation of excellent flavors, and the leverage to combine affordability and exciting menu options to please all with a splendid weekend feast for seafood, chicken, and beef lovers.
