Dubai is a wonderful city for a night out, particularly to attend one of the many cultural events that are presented year-round – in fact, a progressive society thrives on expanding the creative mind through exposure to world-class arts, and the 11th edition of InClassica has returned to Dubai for a four-week celebration of classical music performance and international collaboration.
We had the good fortune of attending the premiere, and look forward to the continuation of this series of events, proudly presented by SAMIT Event Group, a Dubai-based organization with a proven track record of delivering high quality, large-scale cultural projects.
In addition to the festival’s schedule of world-class performances, SAMIT is proud to present the third edition of the “Classic Strings” Violin and Cello International Competition, taking place from 9th–23rd May 2022. This event will welcome some of the finest young string players in the world to Dubai, for a competition celebrating the best of artistic excellence and technical prowess.
As inspiration for the youth, the premiere of the InClassica International Music Festival presented violin prodigy Sergey Krylov, who at the age of 18 won first prize at the Rodolfo Lipizer International Violin Competition. After that, the young musician gained considerable publicity by winning several first prizes, and Sergey arrives to InClassica with an accomplished career as a soloist as well as conductor.
The venue for InClassica is the spectacular Dubai Opera theater!
Located right next door to the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountain, the majestic Dubai Opera is a magnificent tribute to Dubai’s progress in the arts.
Throughout the festival’s groundbreaking month of consecutive evening concerts, InClassica 2022 will present an astonishing 50 world-renowned soloists, 3 leading orchestras and 11 celebrated conductors, with 26 performances taking place at Dubai Opera.
Over the Festival of four weeks, InClassica will present the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, Berlin Symphony Orchestra and Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra. Joining these esteemed orchestras will be such notable maestros as Dmitry Yablonsky, Conrad van Alphen, Gianluca Marciano, Marius Stravinsky, Gergely Madaras, and Massimiliano Caldi.
The festival runs from 8th May to 2nd June 2022, and it will present a diverse and engaging repertoire of well-known classics and contemporary masterpieces, including works by Verdi, Beethoven, Debussy, Mendelssohn, Strauss, Dvořák and Composer-in-Residence, Alexey Shor.
